Ramon Arteaga moved to Gainesville, Georgia, in 1991 to open a small family-run grocery store La Flor de Jalisco. Since that time his family has been blessed with a loyal clientele and a successful, growing business including a bakery, butcher shop, restaurant and two grocery stores offering a broad range of products and services. Through the years the Arteagas have never lost touch with their roots or their community, providing support for the annual Marcha por la Paz, donating groceries for non-profit community groups and making their space, parking lot and other resources at the disposal of the community free of cost for important civic events such as the 2000 Hispanic Census Participation Campaign, an outdoor mariachi concert in
celebration of el Día de las Madres (Mothers' Day) and much more. |
